May 18, 2025: Yesterday, I stayed at Wakei Juku, a student dormitory in Tokyo, for the first time in a year, as there was a grand gathering of karate club alumni held at the Main Hall. A memorial service for Master Oka, who passed away at the end of last year, was held on May 17th. Despite the rain, 70 alumni of Kenseikan Karate Club attended to honor his memory.
