2012-2017: Business Expansion of NTN Bower Corporation
July 17, 2012 Macomb, Illinois – NTN Bower Corporation, a major manufacturer of tapered and cylindrical roller bearings broke ground today for the company’s new 240,000 square foot plant expansion. The $100 million investment includes the building as well as the addition of new product lines. The new plant is being built directly east of their existing operations and will create 80 new full-time manufacturing positions. NTN Bower manufactures roller bearings for the construction machinery, agricultural machinery, automotive and machine tool industries. Roller bearings have been manufactured in Macomb, Illinois since 1965. NTN Bower was formed by a joint venture between Federal Mogul Corporation and NTN Corporation (Osaka, Japan) in 1985.
