September 15, 2024: Attended the 30th-anniversary memorial service in Tokyo for Master Wataru Okawa (大川渉師範), the founder of Kenseikan (拳誠館) Karate, where I had an unexpected reunion with Mr. Nandana Wijewardana, who runs a dojo and teaches karate in Canada. I was also able to reconnect with many others I had missed, and together we fondly remembered Master Okawa. May 16, 2024: Participating in “Kenseikan“ Karate practice for the first time in 40 years, and staying overnight at “Wakei Juku”

May 16, 2024: Stayed at "Wakei Juku (和敬塾)," a university dormitory in Tokyo. In the evening, I participated in “Kenseikan (拳誠館)” karate practice at the dojo here for the first time in about 40 years. Although I couldn't move as well as I used to and was exhausted, I was very happy to reunite with so many old friends. I enjoyed drinking until late at a social gathering with friends from Kenseikan, and the next morning, I had breakfast at Wakei Juku. The club aims to foster connections among alumni in Japan and enhance the presence of the Kellogg School of Management in the Japanese business community.
