The autumn foliage in Canada is breathtakingly beautiful. Currently relaxing in the lounge at O’Hare, which is extremely crowded today. My flight departed two hours late, but I’m now enjoying a meal and a movie on the JAL flight from Chicago to Tokyo. Hotel at Haneda Airport  Departing from Tokyo to Osaka Itami Airport  I’m back in Osaka after a week-long business trip abroad and having breakfast now. The autumn foliage season is just about to begin here. The autumn leaves have just begun to change around my home in Osaka, though it’s still a bit early for the best viewing season....

June 6, 2026: Attended the annual general meeting of the Kansai Waseda IE Alumni Club, held in Osaka. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni living in the Kansai region and enjoy exchanging ideas, experiences, and a wide range of information.  It is truly inspiring to see alumni who are much more senior than I am continuing to play active roles and contribute with such energy and enthusiasm. The meeting was held, as usual, at the Chuo Denki Club, a historic building known for its Italian Renaissance-style architecture and as the place where Panasonic founder Konosuke Matsushita first presented his “Waterworks Philosophy” in 1932. Attached is a photo from June 1982, when I attended this alumni gathering for the first time as a new employee just after graduating from Waseda University and introduced myself to the members. In those days, the event was held at a Chinese restaurant, where participants sat around several round tables and enjoyed informal conversations...

Their breathtaking beauty seems to lift my spirits as we enter a new fiscal year. It has been exactly 30 years since I set my sights beyond engineering, pursued management studies at the Kellogg School of Management, and graduated. I feel truly grateful that even now, three decades later, I can continue to be involved in corporate management while enjoying the journey of life. < AI Info. > April 25, 2026: I bought a new pair of gloves for kickboxing training as a way to refresh my mindset for the new fiscal year. April 29, 2026: The new gloves feel great, and I was able to work up a very satisfying sweat.
