September 19, 2026: The annual general meeting of the alumni association of Wakei Juku, a student dormitory in Tokyo, was held in Shinsaibashi, Osaka.

As always, I had a wonderful time catching up with old friends from my university days. It seems I got a little too carried away and ended up eating and drinking too much, as if I had gone back to my student days!

June 6, 2026: Annual General Meeting of the Kansai Waseda IE Alumni Club

June 6, 2026: Attended the annual general meeting of the Kansai Waseda IE Alumni Club, held in Osaka. It was a great opportunity to reconnect with fellow alumni living in the Kansai region and enjoy exchanging ideas, experiences, and a wide range of information.  It is truly inspiring to see alumni who are much more senior than I am continuing to play active roles and contribute with such energy and enthusiasm. The meeting was held, as usual, at the Chuo Denki Club, a historic building known for its Italian Renaissance-style architecture and as the place where Panasonic founder Konosuke Matsushita first presented his “Waterworks Philosophy” in 1932. Attached is a photo from June 1982, when I attended this alumni gathering for the first time as a new employee just after graduating from Waseda University and introduced myself to the members. In those days, the event was held at a Chinese restaurant, where participants sat around several round tables and enjoyed informal conversations...

Their breathtaking beauty seems to lift my spirits as we enter a new fiscal year. It has been exactly 30 years since I set my sights beyond engineering, pursued management studies at the Kellogg School of Management, and graduated. I feel truly grateful that even now, three decades later, I can continue to be involved in corporate management while enjoying the journey of life. < AI Info. > April 25, 2026: I bought a new pair of gloves for kickboxing training as a way to refresh my mindset for the new fiscal year.
